It all started when…
Imagine that you left your home, your loved ones, your city and the comforts of a normal life, and to have arrived, after a long journey full of dangers and unforeseen events, in a beautiful place like you never thought that existed, with many new things and unknown people who would like to make your acquaintance as you do theirs. This is what happened a thousand times in the history of the world, to brave men (but also women), who have embarked on difficult enterprises, which often exceeded the technical capabilities of the time. Their purposes may be to open new roads to trades or to reach precious goods-producing countries; to reach fabulous distant places or to spread a religion or more simply, that desire for knowledge and adventure that pushes someone to do what no one has ever attempted before.
Thanks to those men, it has been possible to get to know over the centuries, down to the smallest details, that "Design of the World" that the antiques in vain tempted to do, that the Middle Ages had imagined only.
